Pro-Nox®

Breathe-In Comfort for Sensitive or Uncomfortable Procedures

How Pro-Nox Works

  • You hold a small mouthpiece and self-administer light analgesia only when you want it.

  • Relief starts within a few breaths and fades within minutes after you stop.

  • No IVs, no pills, and it pairs perfectly with topical numbing or local anesthetic for extra comfort.

Why Patients Love It

  • You’re in control: inhale as needed, pause anytime.

  • Fast on, fast off: minimal “foggy” feeling; most people feel normal again shortly after.

  • No downtime: return to your day with simple aftercare.

Is It Safe?

Pro-Nox is widely used in dermatology, aesthetics, and minor office procedures. The system delivers a fixed 50/50 oxygen–nitrous mix through a demand valve (you only receive it when you inhale), uses single-use tubing, and is operated by trained staff with standard monitoring. Most healthy adults are good candidates.

Important: Everyone is screened first. Pro-Nox isn’t right for certain conditions—such as severe COPD, untreated vitamin B12 deficiency, recent ear/eye surgery with gas bubbles, pneumothorax, bowel obstruction, or early pregnancy. We’ll review your medical history to keep you safe.

Great for These Procedures

  • Microneedling & RF microneedling (e.g., Morpheus-based treatments)

  • Laser procedures (resurfacing, hair removal, vascular/spot treatments)

  • Women’s intimate wellness procedures (e.g., Morpheus-V)

  • Injectables (filler, biostimulators), Kybella, and other quick in-office treatments

What to Expect on Procedure Day

  1. A quick health screening and consent.

  2. We show you how to use the mouthpiece—you control each breath.

  3. Start your procedure; inhale when you want relief, stop when you don’t.

  4. After you’re finished, most people feel back to themselves within 10–15 minutes.

    • We suggest avoiding alcohol that day and arranging a ride for your first visit until you know how you personally feel afterward.

Common Questions

Will I be “out” or asleep? No. Pro-Nox provides light analgesia + anxiety relief. You’re awake, responsive, and in control the entire time.

Can I drive myself? Many patients feel normal soon after. Because responses vary, we recommend having a driver for your first session. After that, we’ll advise based on your experience.

Any side effects? The most common are brief dizziness, lightheadedness, or nausea, which usually resolve in minutes when you stop inhaling. Tell us if you feel anything unusual—we can pause immediately.

How much does it cost?Add-on pricing: $75. We’ll review options during your consult.
