VTone Treatment
Empowering women by restoring sexual satisfaction and quality of life
FAQs about the power of VTone treatment
Sexual health and the satisfaction you get from physical intimacy are core parts of your overall health and well-being. The Kore MD Health and Wellness team in Atlanta, Georgia, understands the importance of sexual health and intimacy. Our board-certified physician, Dr. Nicole Battaglioli, has invested in various technologies and services to improve sexual and pelvic health. These technologies include the versatile and innovative EmpowerRF system by InMode.
What is EmpowerRF?
EmpowerRF is not a single treatment. It is a platform that allows us to deliver numerous therapies, including VTone. This versatility supports the most customized treatment tailored to your needs and the ability to combine therapies and take results and outcomes to the next level.
Now, depending on those needs, Empower RF may be used to generate electrical muscle stimulation and radiofrequency (RF) energy and heating to strengthen weak pelvic floor muscles, improve circulation, and provide relief from conditions that plague many women – from incontinence and bladder leakage and interstitial cystitis to chronic pelvic pain and vaginal dryness.
What does the VTone do, specifically?
VTone treatment is designed to treat weak pelvic floor muscles, as well as stress, urge, and mixed urinary incontinence. These concerns are often prevalent among women after childbirth, during perimenopause, or in menopause.
The source of such distressing symptoms is the nerves that hold or pass urine in the bladder. If these nerves are weak, women may experience persistent pain, decreased sensitivity during sex, or problems with bladder control. Additionally, hormonal and age-related changes can contribute to a weak or overstretched pelvic floor. VTone treats these underlying causes by targeting the weak and lax muscles and tissues of the pelvic floor and vagina.

How does VTone work to strengthen and tighten lax or weak tissues?
This FDA-cleared technology uses what’s called EMS (electrical muscle stimulation). A small, anatomically-shaped applicator is gently inserted into the vaginal canal. This applicator induces deep, firm muscle contractions that cannot be achieved through Kegel exercises or other “voluntary” exercises alone. The neuromuscular tissues are “re-educated” or “rehabilitated” to substantially improve a weak and overstretched pelvic floor. In doing so, our patients get their lives back! They can worry less about symptoms of urinary incontinence and urgency and may experience increased pleasure with sexual activity. And the VTone doesn’t simply put a band-aid on symptoms like chronic pain. It resolves the source of the problem for real and lasting positive changes.
What can I expect from treatment?
Just one session can work wonders! However, it is generally advised to undergo a series of treatments. The process is painless and can be completed in 30 minutes. It is so well-tolerated that no numbing anesthetic is necessary for comfort. You can return to your schedule immediately since there is nothing to recover from. Many patients experience full results from treatment in six to eight sessions spaced out over three months. After that, it takes a single annual maintenance treatment to remain carefree, confident, and satisfied!
